Hort Enterprises are seeking applications from passionate, dedicated individuals to join the team as their new Boilermaker/Fabrication Apprentice.
Learn the tricks of the trade through a combination of formal, theoretic training and being mentored in practical applications by skilled and experienced tradespeople. At the completion of the 4-year apprenticeship, the successful candidate will graduate a fully qualified Fitter Machinist and hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist qualified tradespeople,
- Fabricate structural steel, platework, piping and interpret technical drawings,
- Use hand and power tools,
- Maintain a clean workshop environment,
- And more!
We Want Individuals Who Ideally:
- Are interested in the Engineering industry,
- Have high attention to detail, are organised and have time management skills,
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills,
- Ability to understand and follow workplace health and safety procedures,
- Demonstrated ability to work as part as a diverse team and achieve result together,
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
This is an entry level-position which is suited to individuals with a passion for engineering and who take pride in their work. The successful candidate will work closely with qualified Fitters, Drafting Engineers and Welders to produce quality custom projects and will get to experience working in the local mines.
